Southwest Spirits Proudly Sponsors The Dallas Stars Big Heart Celebrity Challenge
Southwest Spirits was the proud spirits sponsor for the Dallas Stars Big Heart Celebrity Challenge this year, supporting a very worthwhile cause to help raise awareness and donations to support the organization’s mission: To invest in our communities by creating unique programs that nurture & enrich the lives of those in need. We couldn’t be happier and more honored than to support The Dallas Stars Big Heart Foundation, raising over $400,000 during the fundraiser, where the funds will be granted out to local organizations and causes.
As the spirits sponsor for the Foundation’s fundraiser event, Southwest Spirits happily served our best of the best award-winning spirits to guests throughout the evening: all three varieties of the fan favorite nue Vodka, Sixty Men Bourbon and Calamity Gin.
Additionally, Southwest Spirits donated a full barrel of a very distinguished 4-year aged wheated Whiskey on the auction block to raise money for program. During the auction, happy bidders (and connoisseurs alike) sampled this one-of-a-kind notable auction item, let the bidding begin! No brand, no bottle (yet!) – just real American bourbon distilled in 2018 by Southern Distilling in North Carolina and barrel-aged to perfection right here in Dallas. The white oak barrel will yield about 45 to 50 gallons of 113-proof bourbon with notes of vanilla and rich red fruit, an exceptionally balanced mouth feel and lasting notes of toasted oak. We’re Texas proud of this one, as we raise our glasses to toast the lucky auction winner, conquering the bidding war that ended at $10,000 for his barrel of the finest Whiskey – cheers to you, friend!
Since 1998, the Dallas Stars Foundation has raised more than $7 million for diverse local causes, including youth hockey, medical and other basic needs for disadvantaged youth, educational and social issues, family support and crisis intervention. Today, this amazing organization is led by former Stars goalie Marty Turco, and Southwest Spirits is honored to be able to support their efforts to make our city a better place for everyone.
